Upcoming Webinar: An Overview of the Medi-Cal Transformation Justice – Involved Initiative

Upcoming Webinar August 15th 11:00 am - Noon PT

Through a series of initiatives and reforms, CA DHCS is advancing and innovating Medi-Cal to create a more coordinated, person-centered, and equitable health system that works for all Californians. With the Medi-Cal Transformation Justice Involved (JI) Initiative, California is making substantial efforts to improve health outcomes for individuals impacted by incarceration by implementing pre-release Medi-Cal enrollment strategies. This approach ensures that individuals have continuous coverage and access to essential services upon their release from carceral settings, aiding in their successful reintegration into the community.

This presentation will provide an overview of the Justice-Involved (JI) initiative and its timeline, emphasizing how collaborative courts are impacted by and can benefit from this initiative.

Participants will be able to ask questions about the implications of the Medi-Cal Transformation JI Initiative for individuals served in collaborative courts.
